ELDORA – A group of five people with the Conservation Corps were at Pine Lake State Park last week removing invasive plant species along the trail.
The Friends of Pine Lake group hired them, said Park Ranger Andy Place. “The Friends group had cleared out stuff, but saw native grasses and plants coming back,” he said.
The Conservation Corps workers were cutting Oriental Bittersweet, Autumn Olive and Black Locust, and then treating the trunk bases.
