ACKLEY – A fire broke out in the early evening of Aug. 20 at a building owned by Jeff and Janet Kurth at 407 Main St. in Ackley. The large brick warehouse is for the Kurth’s business, JK Inc., which manufactures fiberglass products for Winnebago, and the large Sky Cone ice cream cone. Approximately 20 area fire departments, as well as several EMS vehicles were on the scene.
