IOWA - The State of Iowa has posted “swimming not recommended” advisories at 13 state and federal beaches due to high levels of fecal bacteria.
That was three more advisories than a week ago. None of the state park beaches had advisories for toxic algae this week. According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources website, “Swimming is Not Recommended” at the beach at Lower Pine Lake.
