ELDORA – According to a statement from Matt Highland, Chief of Strategic Communications at the Department of Human Services, Wendy Leiker resigned her position as superintendent of the Boys State Training School (BSTS) effective Aug. 7, 2021.
Highland said he was limited with the information DHS could share, but wanted to make it clear that “her departure is not due to any concern related to student safety. DHS remains committed to the success of BSTS and the critical work of building out services in compliance with the remedial plan.”
