ELDORA – There’s a slightly elevated chance of warmer temperatures, but no clear signal for precipitation, said Iowa State Climatologist Justin Glisan referring to the rest of the summer months. “May and June are the wettest months in the state and we were below average.”
“To get us out of drought,” Glisan continued, “we’d need regular rainfall for the next several months to put a dent in the precipitation deficit we’ve seen in northeastern and north central Iowa.”
