ELDORA – Hy-Vee Manager Pat Ryan, left, recently presented a check for $610.75 to Eldora-New Providence school librarian Nancy Miller. The money was from a program last year where students turned in cash register receipts and the school received back a percentage of those receipts from Hy-Vee.
“We’ve been doing this about 10 years,” Ryan said. “But we’re going to be trying other programs in the future.”
Miller said the money would be used for purchases, including new books, as part of National Library Week next April.
