ELDORA - Peg Ellefson was diagnosed with Unilateral Stage III breast cancer in July 2014 after it was found during a mammogram, however when she went in for the test, she already knew she had a lump. “In the back of my mind I knew it could always be a possibility,” she said. “I was surprised, but I wasn’t surprised.”
Ellefson’s grandmother had breast cancer, as did her mother and her mother’s sister, and with a history of cysts herself, Ellefson didn’t exactly rule a diagnosis on herself out.
