ELDORA – Every year when farmers start taking soybeans out of the field, one thing is for certain… Asian Lady Beetles are taking flight. They’re in the air, in our homes, and landing on our bodies. They’re everywhere.
“They were accidentally introduced into (shipping) ports in the 1980s and spread through the United States,” said Iowa State University Extension Professor and Entomologist Dr. Don Lewis. “The first ones in Iowa (were discovered) in 1994.”
