RICEVILLE – The Cougars (4-3) capped off their regular season with a 56-24 statement win over Riceville (2-5) on October 9. A week after a tough Homecoming loss, AGWSR took control on the road in preparation for the upcoming playoffs.
Both teams traded touchdowns early before the Cougars began to run away via a big second quarter. Bo Gerbracht and Chase Harms hooked up for a quick score, but the Panthers would retaliate with another touchdown. The lead traded hands again with a big run from Jaden Penning and Gerbracht added another score in the quarter.
