IOWA FALLS – AGWSR (5-8) bucked a two-match losing trend when they met up with the Cadets (7-6) in Iowa Falls to close out September play. The Cougars took control with big spurts in key stretches to beat the Cadets in four sets.
The first half of the first set both teams were trying to find their footing. Some early miscues by the Cadets at the service line broke it open, and the Cougars did the rest. An AGWSR 5-2 run led to a six-point lead. Huge blocks at the net and equally massive kills awarded the Cougars a 25-15 set win.
