STEAMBOAT ROCK – Pine Lake State Park Manager Don Primus was nominated as a Hardin County Supervisor candidate during a special Zoom Democratic convention earlier this month. The Steamboat Rock native received 57 percent of the vote against contenders Elaine Bahr of Alden and Jerry Hoffman of Steamboat Rock.
“It really was about choices,” Primus said. “Once I saw the primary and no one was running, I decided to, and the darn folks voted for me.” The Zoom convention had 53 delegates on the call.
