Controlled burn of old day

I was reading either the police or sheriff’s log sent over last week and I noticed a tiny typo. Someone had called in a “controlled burn of old hay,” but it was typed into the log as “controlled burn of old day.” I chuckled. Wouldn’t it be nice to do that… just burn away from memory or certain incident of an old day? Not the whole day, maybe just one or two things.
