The regular season for BCLUW softball neared its conclusion last week.
The Comets had their ups and downs, coming away with two wins in five games through the first seven days of July. West Marshall defeated BCLUW 11-4 on July 1, BCLUW squeaked out a 2-1 triumph against North Butler on July 2, Grundy Center pre-vailed in a 5-2 decision on July 3, the Comets got back in the win column against Union Community, 5-2, on July 6, and fourth-ranked (1A) Lynnville Sully whacked the Comets, 14-3.
