ELDORA - It wasn’t an easy decision, but when the votes were cast, a season without swimming won out 3 to 2 at the Tuesday, June 23, council meeting. Not only health risks related to the pandemic proposed a problem, but also the issue of a lack of staff. There is currently only one full-time employee after two others decided not to be involved this year. Ten part-time employees were lined up, but all with limited availability in their schedules. This would not be enough of a team to keep the pool running safely in a normal environment, far less in today’s world.
