ELDORA – Sister Connie Howe waved to the parade as it swung through the St. Mary Catholic Church porte-cochere Sunday afternoon, June 7. She greeted each parishioner who sent their best wishes through signs, waves and shouts from their vehicles. It was their way of saying good-bye through social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, but plans will be made for a more formal gathering when restrictions are lifted.
“There’s been a voice stirring in me for a while,” Sister Connie said. “It’s saying you’ve been here long enough. It’s time.”
