HARDIN COUNTY – Overall it looks like the 2020 crop went in the ground a couple of weeks early and the only complicating factor might have been a couple of cold nights and a little frost on some newly emerged corn.
The frost was a worry, maybe more for the soybean crop, some of which had emerged by last week. But, overall it looks like it had little impact on the corn crop here in Hardin County.
Some new corn plants looked to have been singed, but the plant growing points were safely below ground.
