Water and sewer service announces a smaller than normal increase

ELDORA – It’s a perennial target, Eldora’s water and sewer rates.

Maybe this time around there will be a little less grumbling. The city will be increasing water rates by 2 and a half percent and sewer rates by two percent. That’s noticeably less than the increase increments that have been recorded over much of the last two decades.

The rate schedule dovetails with the schedule of bond retirement, which underwrote the project to improve the city water and sewer systems almost two decades ago.
