South Hardin successfully kept alive the winning streak so far this season with a 42-0 demolition Friday of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura that has the Tigers as the team to beat.

Hosting action Friday, the Cardinal knew this would a tough battle, but even that foreknowledge did little to aid G-H-V’s efforts to stop what quickly became the Tigers’ game.

With SH securing a 28-0 first quarter, G-H-V was quickly put on the defensive.

A 14-0 second quarter quickly followed to put the boys up 42-0.

The Cardinals fall to 0-5 for the season as the Tigers stand at 5-0.

Up now, the next few weeks are crucial for South Hardin to keep alive the momentum.

This Friday will take the Tigers on the road to face a Grundy Center team that is unbeaten as well with just one victor able to emerge unscathed.

Then it’s on to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, currently at 3-2, before Senior Night the following week pits South Hardin against Central Springs, likewise at 3-2.
