Lura Marlene Tyndall
Lura Marlene Tyndall, 86, of Eldora, Iowa, and formerly of Wickliffe, Ohio passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at Valley View Specialty Care, Eldora, Iowa. Funeral services for Lura Tyndall will be in the summer and will be announced at a later time. Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel will be handling the arrangements. Lura Marlene Baker was born to Guy Rueben and Elma LuDora (Mitchell) Baker on July 29, 1934 at her parents home in New Providence, Iowa. Lura graduated from Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1952. After high school Lura enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 27, 1952, serving as a dental lab technician at the 3345th USAF Hospital, Chanute, Illinois. She received her Honorable discharge on December 10, 1954.
Lura was united in marriage to Clifford Allen Tyndall on November 27, 1953 in Hagerstown, Maryland and to this union three children were born Karen, Keith, and Kathy. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Euclid, Ohio. Lura worked as cashier/supervisor but her last employer was Lowes.
Lura is survived by her two daughters: Karen (Winfield) Miller of Eldora, Iowa and Kathy (Laney) Hill of Warren, Ohio; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Lura is preceded in death by her parents: Guy and LuDora Baker, her husband Clifford Tyndall, one son Keith Tyndall, brother Charles Baker, and sisters Nina Baker and Charlotte Mazurik.
