Barbara A. Dickenson

Barbara A. Dickenson, 82, of Eldora, Iowa passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Eldora Specialty Care. Visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Church, Eldora, Iowa. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Christian Fellowship Church with burial following the service at Sheppard Cemetery in Union, Iowa. The family invites you to a lunch following the burial. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.

Barbara Ann Dickenson was born April 15, 1941, to Vincent and Emma Weyer in Perry, Iowa. Following her high school graduation, she went on to continue her education at AIB in Des Moines, Iowa. After obtaining her degree from AIB, Barbara moved to Eldora where she met and later married Jack Dickenson. From this marriage, Jack and Barbara had three children.

Barbara worked as a secretary for numerous businesses throughout her adult life. When she wasn’t busy raising three children, hobbies that Barbara enjoyed included being involved with the music boosters, crafting, golfing and bowling.

Barbara is survived by two sons; Mike (Karla) Dickenson, Greg (Karma) Dickenson; daughter Jill Grego; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother Gary (Janine) Weyer; and sister Judy Weyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack and one sister.
