Arthur Berg

Arthur Berg, 84, passed away on Sunday, May, 16, 2021, in Seattle, Wash. Art was born in Osage, Iowa, on Dec. 15, 1936, to Lloyd and Virginia Berg and was named after his father. He grew up in Eldora, graduating from Eldora High School in 1955. He attended the University of Iowa until 1959, when he joined the Army. He was stationed in Germany until 1961. Upon discharge, he returned to his studies at the University of Iowa. After graduation, he moved to Seattle, working for Sears and for Aetna Life, where he met his future wife.

In 1971, he married Eileen Anderson and they enjoyed many years of hiking, kayaking, camping and backpacking in the western states, and also in Europe.

Art is survived by his wife, Eileen; his sister, Bettina; three nephews; one niece; and two grand-nieces. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his younger brother, Jim Berg.
