When police and kids need help

ELDORA – The not so long ago-reopened Eldora Welcome Center is about more than welcoming travellers to the community, and in recent months it has been pulling together a project designed to help law enforcement officers deal with sometimes heart rendering domestic situations.

The center has picked up on a theme found in many communities around the country. Called Kuddles and Hugs, the community outreach collects small gifts like colors and crayons, comfort blankets reading materials, which officers can give to children while police try to handle adult situations in their home.
