Walk-off Win

LEGRAND- A walk-off win was celebrated by the South Hardin football team here Friday.

A Dante Dolash to Gavin Ridout 29-yard scoring strike on the game’s final play lifted the Tigers over East Marshall, 18-12 during a Class 1A, District 6 battle.

With 2.5-seconds showing, Dolash took the snap and fired a tight-spiral to South Hardin’s corner of the end zone where Ridout pulled down the pass and planted one-foot in play for six.

“That was the craziest ending I have been part of as a coach,” stated South Hardin coach Nick Eller.

“I’m proud of the guys to come back and get the win. A lot of teams would have folded, but the guys kept plugging away and made something happen,” he added.

The game’s winning drive started at the Tigers own 20 with Dolash to Brayden Harris for 12 yards and Beau Butler six. After Dolash scrambled for 14 yards the Tigers picked up 18 on a hook-and-ladder play Dolash to John Walters to Waylen Butler. Walters gained another seven yards on a quick pass and stepped out of bounds, setting up the final play.
