Vet van joins the county fleet

HARDIN COUNTY – The County Veterans Affairs Office will soon be scheduling the first outings for a new service van that’s joined the county fleet. The vehicle should go a long way toward bringing area veterans a little closer to special services. 

It’s thanks to a huge donation from the Deb and Jeff Hanson (Iowa Select Farms) Foundation. The vehicle is housed in Iowa Falls right now, awaiting the ink on insurance and other papers before it actually goes into service.

“A dream come true for us,” said Bernal Koehrsen the county Veterans Affairs Director.
