Tigers net three runner-up placings

WATERLOO- Runner-up placings in three divisions highlighted a long day on the courts for the South Hardin girls’ tennis team during the North Iowa Cedar League Conference Meet at Byrnes Park here Monday.

Senior Danae Nelson earned two of the silver medals in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, teaming with Meghan VanDePol. The third second was claimed by Alexiss Bradshaw at the sixth-seed in singles.

The Tigers’ second-bests were to Waterloo Columbus netters as the Sailors captured top honors in all nine brackets – six singles and three doubles.
