Tigers, Comets at Dike meet

DIKE- Brylie Zeisneiss of South Hardin and BCLUW’s hurdles shined brightly at the Lady Simons Relays here Tuesday.

Zeisneiss’ gold count continued with a sweep of the throwing field events for a seventh time this spring. The senior’s winning tosses were 44-feet 1-inch in the shot put and 135-feet 3-inches in the discus. Seconds were double digits back at 33-feet in the shot and 123-2 in the discus.

BCLUW’s shuttle hurdle relay team took advantage of ideal weather conditions and blazed back-and-forth along the homestretch for a 1:08.94 clocking. The time won the event by over three-seconds and is the fastest this spring in Class 1A. The quartet was Kiersten Kruse, Payton Pekarek, Lizzie Garber and Olivia Hughes.
