Strong second half carries Comets

CLARKSVILLE- A second half offensive outburst carried the BCLUW boys’ basketball team to a 67-45 victory over Clarksville during a Class 1A district first-round contest here Monday.

The Comets outscored the host Indians, 45-20 over the final 16 minutes and turned a 27-22 halftime deficit into the 22-point post-season win.

BCLUW, notorious for slow starts out of halftime, won the all-important third quarter 24-11 for a 46-38 advantage and kept the scoring spree going, taking the fourth, 21-9.
