South Hardin, BCLUW at NICL XC meet

REINBECK- BCLUW’s Caleb Silver and Zakee Newman of South Hardin navigated a soggy and muddy course to capture top five placings at the North Iowa Cedar League Conference cross country meet here Saturday.

Silver grabbed runner-up honors in the 91-runner field at the Oakleaf Golf Course and Newman finished fifth. Both started slow and gained traction on the rainy morning as Silver, a junior, was clocked in 17:17 and sophomore Newman at 17:32.
