South Hardin battles Jesup for Homecoming

ELDORA- The South Hardin football team will be looking for a Homecoming win tonight (Friday) and with a victory snap a long streak of losses following a win.

The Tigers (1-3) captured the season’s first win last Friday, manhandling Eagle Grove, 34-8 and will now attempt to post back-to-back wins for the first time since 2007.

The Homecoming opponent is Jesup and the game also opens Class 1A, District 6 play. Kick-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.

South Hardin and Jesup will both bring momentum into the fall’s fifth contest after breaking into the win column a week ago. Jesup (1-3) beat BCLUW, 35-6 and halted a 13-game losing skid after going 0-10 a year ago. The Tigers snapped an 11-game losing skid last Friday.

South Hardin has played 86 games since last posting back-to-back wins that ended the 2007 campaign. During that stretch from 2008 to present the Tigers are 19-67 in wins and losses.
