Sheltered Reality

HARDIN COUNTY– There is a story behind all those drums that have become something of a fixture around this area – pounding out a hopeful message at so many town celebrations each summer.

Sheltered Realityis now a 20-year labor of love for Steve Schlosser.

And you may not know it but the drum line and its message are now heard just about everywhere in the Upper Midwest.

They were in Union again during Tar Heel Days, and have been a recurring feature there for years.
