Season sweeps for South Hardin boys, BCLUW girls

 

CONRAD- The second tour around the North Iowa Cedar League West Conference started here Tuesday and season sweeps were scored by the BCLUW girls’ and South Hardin boys’ basketball teams.

The Comets toppled the South Hardin girls, 52-27 and the Tigers buried the BCLUW boys, 86-56.

SEASON SKID CONTINUES

Scoring struggles continued the season-long skid for the South Hardin girls, losing the first game by 25-points and falling to 0-12 overall. After scoring just 14 points through three quarters, the Tigers netted 13 in the fourth and broke a string of 13 consecutive periods in single figures.

 

4 IN ROW FOR TIGERS

The South Hardin boys posted a fourth straight win and third in five days with the nightcap’s 30-point win. The effort improved the Tigers to 8-4 overall, 5-2 in the league and tied for second with West Marshall and Gladbrook-Reinbeck one game behind AGWSR, who lost to WM.
