Philanthropy kicks off new season

Hardin County’s decade old women’s philanthropy is starting a new season of giving and recruiting new members.

The 2018 events for 100+ Women Who Care Hardin County are scheduled, with the first event planned for Monday evening, April 16th at the Open Door, 410 Washington Ave., Iowa Falls from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All women who reside or work in Hardin County are invited to join.

100+ Women Who Care organizations all across the country share the same philosophy—that by working collectively, donors can give more strategically and with measurable impact.

There is no volunteering, no telemarketing, no event planning, and no silent auction donations to solicit.

The philanthropic group meets three times a year, April, June and October. At each event, members learn about the good works that non- profit organizations are doing throughout the county and, as a group, decide how their money will be used collectively to support one of the organizations nominated that night.
