NICL West girls all-conference basketball

ELDORA- A veteran cast of cagers make up the North Iowa Cedar League Girls’ Basketball All-Conference first-team released recently.

The five seniors and two juniors named to the first-team are all returning all-conference picks and have been selected a combined 12 pervious times.

AGWSR senior Aubrie Fisher and BCLUW junior Madison Ubben were area girls tabbed first-team.

Rounding out the all-NICL West team are seniors Hailey Wallis and Brooke Flater of Grundy Center, senior Taylor Gienger of Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Kayla Cripps of West Marshall and junior Olivia Terrones of East Marshall.

Flater finished a four-time all-conference performer and three-time first-teamer to go with second as a freshman, while Wallis earned first-team all-conference for a third time and was picked the league’s Outstanding Player.

Fisher and Cripps repeated as first-teamers while Ubben, Gienger and Terrones jump from the second to first-team. Fisher and Gienger were second-team picks as sophomores.

Seniors Kiera Anderson of South Hardin and Katie Thompson of BCLUW along with sophomore Alyssa Hames were named to the NICL West’s second-team.
