Multiple projects around the county square

The Hardin County Board of Su-pervisors was a little surprised that none of the area financial institutions submitted a bid to bankroll the planned renewal of the heating and air conditioning utilities in the courthouse and county annex buildings.

So the board decided to make a second try at encour-aging bids, this time making a direct appeal to the potential lo- cal bidders, rather than count on them responding to the required notice in the local newspapers. The board now hopes to re-ceive bids on the finance pack-ages on January 16 and open them January 18.

The replacement of the heating and air conditioning systems in the two county structures has been a matter under discussion for several months and is actually only one of several projects the county has in store for its town square proprieties in Eldora.
