Matters of services and semis weigh on City Council

ELDORA – A new regulation to start supervising the parking and noise of semis is being scrutinized in Eldora. The goal is to alleviate the wear and tear vehicles weighing over four tons have on residential streets. The noise of engines and generators of trucks running through the night have been a concern as well. Trucks will be encouraged to park in enclosed shops and designated areas. RV motor homes also tip the scales over four tons, so there are a lot of possibilities to be looked at. The day of the meeting, councilman Blake Jones spent four hours reading codes and an hour talking with the chief of police on the subject.
