Lashbrook, Roder champions

JESUP- First placings were posted by Trey Lashbrook and Brody Roder of the AGWSR wrestling team at the Jesup Tournament here Saturday.

Lashbrook captured the 120-pound weight class and Roder was crowned champion at 152.

Lashbrook bettered an eight-wrestler field with a 13-4 decision over Johnny Dreckman of New Hampton-Turkey Valley in the finals. The sophomore also posted pins in 47-seconds and 2:53 along with an 8-0 win.

Roder won a five-wrestler round-robin bracket in dominating fashion with four falls – three in the first period at 42-seconds, 1:25 and 1:56 along with a pin in 2:54.
