Ice Fishing opens

    Talk around the lake was that Pine Lake froze over a bit earlier than some of its host competitors, and maybe that explained the turnout.
    Keith Boever of Dubuque was good enough to pose for the whole crowd out at Pine Lake on Monday.
    A parking space was hard to find as a number of anglers clearly wanted to ring in the new year out on the ice. Boever came to Eldora for the first time, tagging along with a friend from Marshalltown who is more familiar with the fishing here. (Read the rest in the Friday Index)
