Hardin Watershed group to participate in state initiative

HARDIN COUNTY – The Hardin County-based  SouthFork Watershed Alliance (SFWA) is the recipient of one of eight Water Quality Initiative (WQI) grants announced recently by Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig.

The grant here will support conservation planning with farmers and landowners in the 208,000-acre South Fork of the Iowa River watershed. The   watershed encompasses a large part of the western half of Hardin County.
