Golf season ends for BCLUW girls

 

LYNNVILLE- A third straight state meet berth was denied as the BCLUW girls’ golf team took third at a Class 1A Regional Final here Monday.

The Comets carded a four-gal, 18-hole 422 total to fall short by 20-strokes at the Diamond Trail Golf Course. The top two teams advanced to the state show with Grundy Center the team champion at 394 and Iowa Valley second, shooting 402.

Jaelyn Allen was the team leader for BCLUW, hitting an even 100 with nines of 49 and 51 for 14th place. Lili Wilson chipped in a 105, going 48-57 for 17th with Bailey Ashton 108 on rounds of 53-55 and Abigail Hand 109 at 57-52.
