Geo-thermal installation begins

HARDIN COUNTY – This week, drillers started the first installations on a network of collectors that make up the courthouse geothermal system manifold.

There will be a grid of horizontal and vertical lines eventually reaching far below the surface of the town square’s west side. The system once in place promises to make a big dent in the heating and cooling requirements of the courthouse for decades to come.
