Fair Queen

The 2018 Hardin County Fair got off to a sweltering start, nothing unusual. Wednesday night was parade night, around the downtown square and out to the fairgrounds where fair fans and supporters watched the crowning of this year’s fair queen. There was a full slate of grand stand shows throughout the remainder of the week and into Sunday evening, and the days were full of arena work by young exhibitors.  Watch the coming papers for news from the fair and we expect to have the full rundown on showring events in Friday the 27th’s Index. Shown are this year’s fair queen Miss Union-Whitten, Claira Sams on the left, and the first runner-up Autumn Schott, Miss Alden. Claira Sams also received the Miss Congeniality Award for 2018.
