The cost of some things and the value of all

Deb Donald receives an appraisal.

Mark Moran brought his Wisconsin-based “Road Show” to the Eldora Library last Tuesday. It was great fun – nobody walked away with a windfall – but great antique and collector fun.

As promised, Moran conducted appraisals on about 40 pieces. He brought to the show over three decades experience establishing values on often obscure collectables. Moran bought and sold antiques for more than 30 years, specializing in vintage folk art, Americana, and fine art. He has been active as an appraiser of antiques and fine art for more than 20 years.

He also came with a world of information at his fingertips. Via his laptop, of course.
