Comets topple Tigers

ELDORA- A game-high 25 points by Madison Ubben propelled the BCLUW girls’ basketball team over South Hardin, 60-38 during the North Iowa Cedar League West Conference opener here Friday.

The Ubben-led Comets snapped a two-game skid with the 22-point win to stand 2-2 while the Tigers tumbled to 0-3 overall.

BCLUW gained control of the contest early with a 16-0 run to end the first quarter and start the second that stretched a two-point game to 25-7. The Comets closed the opening eight-minutes with nine straight points to lead 18-7 and scored seven straight in the second.
