Children Center honored

ELDORA – The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) recently awarded the Eldora Children’s Center a Level 5 Quality Rating (QRS) and a $4,000 achievement bonus based upon overall scores and improvements made within the center.  In this point based program, preschools or childcare centers are assessed on the following categories: professional development, health and safety, environment, family and community partnerships, and leadership and administration.  The QRS was developed to increase the quality of child care in Iowa, raise the number of children in high-quality child care settings and to educate parents about quality in child care.  (read it all in the Friday Index)
