Big winner

UNION – Turns out, one of marquee local names at the recent Iowa State Fair was a Union boy who’s adopted his father’s childhood hobby and now’s a figure to be reckoned with in poultry shows around Iowa.

There was some hint of what was to come at the Hardin County Fair this summer when Kade Pekarek swept a lot of the top spots.
