Big Eldora Fire Department move is completed

The fire fighters have a new Eldora address.

The Eldora Fire Rescue has its new home out in what had long been referred to as the Tri-Rinse Building on the south side of town. The big facility is tailor made for truck traffic. City Fire Chief Dave Lloyd said the old fire station is now vacated, the keys to it have been turned in to city hall. The fire department jumped at the opportunity to purchase the one time truck depot owned by United Suppliers.

Finalization of the sale took just about a year. Now the city has an opportunity to look at what it can do with its old fire station and the adjacent building commonly known as the Wolf Creek site.
