BCLUW girls split games with Iowa Star

 

CONRAD- The BCLUW girls’ basketball team split two games in a three-day span with members of the Iowa Star South Conference.

The Comets defeated Green Mountain-Garwin, 59-41 here Saturday and then Monday, lost 42-33 to 11th-ranked in Class 1A Colo-NESCO.

A sluggish start was costly for the BCLUW girls with Colo-NESCO, falling behind 15-4 after one quarter. The Royals poured in the period’s final 12 points capped by back-to-back three-point goals for Rylee Purvis.

The Comets battled over the next three quarters, but Colo-NESCO held the hosts at arm’s length.
