BCLUW boys outscored by Grundy

GRUNDY CENTER- One team was going to celebrate the season’s first victory in the nightcap here Friday and that team was Grundy Center, outscoring the BCLUW boys, 77-65 during North Iowa Cedar League West Conference basketball play.

Both 0-4 on the young season, the Spartans scored 47 second half points for the 12-point win. Grundy doubled BCLUW 26-13 in the third to open a 56-49 cushion. The visiting Comets held the halftime lead of 39-30, but were outscored 47-29 over the final 16-minutes.
