BCLUW beaten by G-R

REINBECK- Beating a team three times in one season is always tough, just ask the BCLUW baseball team.

With two conference wins in the pocket over Gladbrook-Reinbeck, the Comets were denied the trifecta, losing 11-3 to the Rebels in a Class 1A, District 5 semi-final here Thursday.

BCLUW was forced to play catch up as G-R tallied two runs in the host’s first and tacked on another five in the second. The Comets sliced the 2-0 deficit in half with one in the top of the second, but had no answer after that.
