Barrick books career-high 17 strikeouts

GRUNDY CENTER- A career-high 17 strikeouts by Taryan Barrick headlined the AGWSR softball team’s 10-0 romp over Grundy Center here Monday during North Iowa Cedar League West play.

Barrick struck out the game’s first 11-in-a-row and finished with a two-hitter as she also walked two. The junior reached double digits in strikeouts for the 11th time this season and has 163 in 80 innings. Barrick’s previous career-high was 16 against Gladbrook-Reinbeck a year ago.
